£14.50 per hour, +10% anti-social shift rate, Company Pension Scheme

 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • To create a motivated, driven and enthusiastic team.
  • Line management of the production team, supporting HR and recruitment processes.
  • Responsible for the output of the production team, ensuring the production delivery schedule is achieved and maintained.
  • Responsible for daily reporting as required by the Production Manager.
  • Responsible for achieving and sustaining build completion within the takt time.
  • Lead the Production morning meetings.
  • Expert understanding of the product and build, with the ability to impart expert knowledge onto other members of the team.
  • Responsible for the training and development of the production team to the highest standard.
  • To support the Production Manager in management duties if required.
  • Responsible for the production team’s daily completion of TPM and 5S activities.
  • Responsible for ensuring the production team operate safely and adhere to all regulations, policies and procedures for health, safety and environmental compliance.
  • Responsible for ensuring the production environment is kept clean and safe.
  • Responsible for ensuring the production team is punctual and ready for the start of shift.
  • To promptly escalate issues to the Production Manager.

 

 

Skills and Experience

  • GCSEs/A-levels or equivalents.
  • Energetic, driven and enthusiastic.
  • 5+ years of experience in general assembly work.
  • 3+ years of experience in a team leadership role.
  • Automotive experience a plus but not essential.
  • Able to make informed and considered decisions.
  • Ability to understand Engineering drawings and bills of materials.
  • Extensive experience and understanding of best assembly practices.
  • Ability to commit to a flexible schedule.
  • Experience with a wide variety of hand tools, lift assists and production equipment.
  • Excellent reading, computer and communication skills required.
  • Strong attention to detail and an ability to complete work accurately and thoroughly.
  • Able to motivate, influence and encourage others to achieve high standards of work.
  • Able to inspire others.
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, organizational, and collaborative skills.
