Cox Powertrain is a privately owned engineering company based in Shoreham by Sea. Cox have spent the past decade developing a ground-breaking new engine, supported by £90m of private investment, for marine industry which is disrupting the global marine market. Cox Powertrain have over 120 permanent employees, with strong connections with the automotive industry.

Cox Powertrain has an exciting opportunity for a Creative Manager to join their expanding marketing team. As Creative Manager, you will be responsible for creating and managing brand assets to be used across multiple marketing channels, keeping consistent with the premium Cox brand.

The successful candidate will be multi-disciplined all round creative with a strong blend of experience across print design, digital activity, video and branding. You will not be afraid to think outside of the box whilst remaining practical.

2.2 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Creative force that shapes the communications through which we position our brand
    • Confidently produce practical creative work which is implementable and fit for purpose whilst keeping to corporate values
    • Capable of managing external creative agencies to deliver on design projects
    • Ownership of delivering assets for multiple marketing channels (social media, website, digital, advertisement) either through an agency or directly
    • Creating compelling copy to support messaging and marketing campaigns
    • Creative lead on events and exhibitions
    • Support our global distributor network with their design requirements, including co-branding
    • Manage design of corporate PowerPoint presentations and infographics
    • Manage the design of product packaging and labelling
    • Ensure the consistent and professional application of our premium brand identity
    • Collaborate in market research projects
    • Ensure delivery of projects within the agreed timelines
    • Feed the marketing team with creative ideas for new product branding

4.1 NECESSARY

    • 3+ years’ experience working within a creative environment
    • Degree in Graphic Design (or equivalent qualification)
    • Strong portfolio of design work, both digital and print
    • Strong experience using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign programmes
    • Experience in creatively positioning a brand across different segments to a global
      audience
    • Excellent eye for detail
    • Experience with PowerPoint design, particularly creation of infographics
    • Excellent copywriting and proof-reading skills
    • Strong project management skills

4.2 ADVANTAGEOUS

    • Knowledge in creating interactive PDFs
    • Previous experience working within a fast-paced environment
    • Knowledge of supporting events and exhibitions

Cox Powertrain have over 120 permanent employees, with strong connections with the automotive industry.

The core engine module is a V8, 4-stroke turbo charged diesel with a capacity of 4.4ltr litres that delivers up to 300 hp (224kW) per module.  Principal benefits are increased responsiveness combined with reduced size, mass and parts count when compared with conventional diesels of similar power output and improved fuel efficiency and storage safety compared to gasoline engines of similar power output.
